Beautiful granite cliffs, lush high alpine creeks and forested slopes serves as your backdrop for this beautiful overnight hiking trip to the copper country state forest. Whether you are a first timer or a more seasoned hiker this trip offers something amazing for everyone. As the trip unfolds you will encounter something new around every corner in this Saturday-Sunday hiking trip.

Winding trails through dense pine and hardwood forests, along beautiful rivers and small fresh water lakes and towering up high granite cliffs which lead to magnificent vantage points in which you can see miles of the wild of the U.P. await you. All this and more only 40 min from the front door of the Outpost.

Can you see it yet; rock crawling in your favorite 4 wheel drive vehicle, weaving through dense northern forest vegetation on your way to a stunning view of miles of U.P. wilderness? After a long day of adventures like rafting, or mountain biking or paddling or climbing you spend the night in a beautiful private campground around a roaring fire. You awake the next morning to hot breakfast and coffee and before you know it, you're off again on another day of fun and excitement. Hiking along beautiful wild northern rivers among huge pines and breathtaking views.

All out adventure not really your style? Are you just more of a casual over lander? No problem. We have lots of low key options for you to explore. The local towns of Iron Mountain and Norway are home to lots of incredible shops, restaurants, coffee shops, museums and historic tours. You wont have any issues finding exactly what you are looking for on this trip.

Overnight Marinette County Paddle Trip

TRIP LENGTH: 2 Days, 1 Night

GROUP SIZE: 4-10 People

ACTIVITY LEVEL: Easy - Intermediate

Beautiful, tranquil, serene & relaxing are just a few of the words you will use to describe this trip. Paddling on the Menominee river is an experience that is never disappointing. Wide, calm, wandering river views though lush, wild U.P. forests await, as well as a host of animals such as native birds, ducks & otters. Whether you want to take in the scenery or do a little fishing this trip has it all.

Overnight camping and dinner is included on Pemebonwon Islands, followed by day two of paddling on some smaller rapids and taking in breathtaking Pemene Falls. It's just a short float from there to the magnificent Miscauno Island, home to the Four Seasons Resort for a quick drink before returning to TNO.
