river PHOTOGRAPHER Job DescriPTIOn

True North Outpost is all about capturing the action for our customers. You will interact with our guests before, after, and during their trips. Group photos at the put-in is where it all begins. Then, from the banks of the Menominee River in Piers Gorge, you will photograph each boat as they go through the class 3 and 4 rapids.

After the trip, you will display your photos from our front porch photo kiosk. There our customers will get the chance to see in live vivid color the amazing adventure you just captured for them to purchase photos of their trip. Best yet, you gain a commission for every photo package you sell. Sales and photography experience is a plus however, we are happy to train.

Camera and lenses are provided by True North Outpost, but you are welcome to use an adequate personal camera.

Responsibilities

• Set up camera, open photo kiosk, and create daily folders for photos.

• Assisting with guest check in process & answer questions if needed.

• Take group photos and action photos.

• Sell photos and guide GoPro videos on the front porch kiosk after the trip.

• Upload photos and videos to online server.

• Clean and put away camera & lock photo kiosk.

Qualifications

Specific Skills: Exceptional personal communication skills. Sales and photography skills are a plus (we will train you if needed). Experience in outdoor adventure activities and CPR, First responder/EMT certifications a plus. 

No experience necessary. 

• Must be at least 16 years old

• If under 18 employees must have signed permission from parents for employment.

Pay

River photographers will start at $12/hour plus a 10% commission on sale of photo and video packages. Paid on a biweekly payroll schedule.
