Beautiful, tranquil, serene & relaxing are just a few of the words you will use to describe this trip. Paddling on the Menominee River is an experience that is never disappointing. Wide, calm, wandering river views through lush, wild Upper Michigan forests await, as well as a host of animals such as native birds such as eagles, ducks & otters. Whether you want to take in the scenery or do a little fishing, this trip has it all.

Overnight camping and dinner are included on Peme-bon-won Island, followed by day two of paddling on some smaller rapids and taking in breathtaking Pemene Falls. It's just a short float from there to the magnificent Miscauno Island, home to the Four Seasons Resort for a quick drink before returning to True North Outpost.

TRIP DESCRIPTION

You will meet your guide at True North Outpost where you will get a fitted for your life jacket and receive a brief introduction by your guide. After you pack away your gear it’s off to the river. We will put in on the Menominee River just below the Norway Power Dam and paddle to quiver falls where we will spend the night on Peme-Bon-Won island. Once there, we will set up camp and have dinner and a camp fire.

The next morning we will have breakfast and pack up camp to continue our paddle to majestic Pemenee Falls. After portaging the falls we will continue on to Miscauno Island, home of the Four Seasons Island Resort for a quick break and a drink for those old enough. Then it is back on the shuttle to the outpost where you will be free to head out to the next stop on your adventure!
