HALF-DAY & FULL-DAY OUTDOOR ROCK CLIMBING TRIPS
reach for adventure!
At True North Outpost, we believe the best part of climbing outdoors is being in beautiful places with good friends. Rock climbing will definitely get your adrenaline going as you climb 60+ feet off the ground toward the top. Our local area provides numerous climbing opportunities and we have selected the best of the best for you to enjoy.
The cliffs that you will be climbing are perfectly hidden in a dense northern forest, where cascading creeks and beautiful views are in abundance. The granite and quartz composite rock formations make for a stable yet challenging climb for everyone from first time climbers to seasoned veterans. Our experienced and knowledgeable climbing guides are here to help you from start to finish.
So if you are ready to get outside for an exciting and rewarding challenge, then an outdoor climbing trip is exactly what you are looking for.
Not a climber and just want to watch? If you are able to handle a little walk in the woods you can tag along with your group and enjoy watching them climb from the safety and comfort of the ground. We will be taking frequent breaks to enjoy free, cold Norway Springs water and snacks.

TRIP DESCRIPTION
Our rock climbing destination is about 40 minutes from True North Outpost. You will follow our guides in your vehicle to the climbing location. Once there you will follow your guide on a short walk through breathtaking northern forests alongside the majestic Upper Pine Creek.
Once at the climbing spot, your guides will set up the ropes and you will walk down the path to the bottom of the climbing area. Once there, your guides will walk you through a quick tutorial with tips and tricks to help you conquer the 60+ foot granite rock face you are about to climb.
You will be tied into a rope (on belay) at all times with multiple back ups for complete safety. With your guide handling all the ropes and gear, you only have to focus on the top of the wall. The routes vary in difficulty from easy to medium to hard, making this trip a perfect fit for any skill level. When you reach the top, you will be generously rewarded with an incredible view of the creek-side canyon.
After you are done climbing, we head back to the Outpost and on to your next adventure.
Full day guests will stop for lunch and a much deserved break after the climb. After lunch, you may decide to climb more or take a guided hike through this incredible high scenery.
