ANTIQUES AT TRUE NORTH OUTPOST
Our roots started at 8th Avenue Antiques & Salvage in Norway, Michigan in 2009. In 2018, we moved to the upstairs at True North Outpost, and in 2023 we’ve grown into a new-to-us building on-site that is dedicated to our love of antiques and upcycled pieces.
The majority of the building has been constructed from reclaimed and salvaged materials from Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. Located adjacent to the main True North Outpost building, it’s another project we’ve been honored to give new life. The interior structure is reclaimed from a cabin built in the area in the 1960s, and the interior trim in from the old Timbers Motor Lodge in Iron Mountain.
The whole True North Outpost team worked tirelessly on the reconstruction. From the bones of the building to the finish work, we’ve all have a hand in creating this unique space.
This new-to-us Antique Shop, and all the items inside, represent a piece of Michigan’s Upper Peninsula history. So many unique items cross our path and we’re always learning from our past. It is this unsurpassed essence that makes the True North Outpost Antique Shop so unique.
